ABOUT

Lina means “tender” or “delicate” in many Arabic-speaking regions. In Chinese, it is associated with “pretty elegance". In India, Lina refers to the goddess Lakshmi, the bringer of fortune, prosperity, and splendor. In Hebrew, לֵב ("Lev") means "heart."

Lina Lev dedicaded more than a decade on the exploration of body, mind and spirit. Her research focuses on universal questions about life. She investigates into them through and with the arts, characterized by a holistic approach and guided by the idea of  building bridges between worlds. For her dance is a heartfelt journey—a continuous current that unites emotion, intuition, and presence. It offers a space for connection and transformation by pushing limits and exploring new horizons of expression.

Lina Lev as a modern nomad frequently moves between living in the fields of Alentejo (PT) and Theatre Venues in the metropolitan areas (AT/ DE). In this sense, her lifestyle also embodies a search for integrity in vocation, nature, and community.
